Mission Statement

We support families to meet the exceptional developmental needs of children through Early Intervention.

Infant Development

The Infant Development Program is a home based, community orientated program for children who are either at risk for developmental delay or who have identified delays.

Autism Program

The Autism Program provides behaviour intervention for children diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental delays.

Supported Child Development

The Supported Child Development Program (SCD) is intended for children who require extra support to be included in a community early child care centre.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy addresses function and promotes independence through skill development, and adaptation of activities, equipment or the environment.

Speech Language Therapy

Speech Language Pathologists strive to help each child become the best communicative partner he or she can be.

Physical Therapy

Physical Therapists use their knowledge of anatomy, neurology and physiology to promote physical development, mobility, and functional independence.

Counselling Services

The COCDA provides family counselling for clients and families.

Hippotherapy (HATRC)

Hippotherapy and Therapeutic Riding is a unique type of program where a horse is used to deliver physio and occupational therapy.

Success Story

The Autism Program through the COCDA has been a resource that has helped our family tremendously.  The change, growth, confidence and increased skill our son has experienced during this first year involved in the program is truly amazing.  We appreciate the knowledgeable, compassionate and understanding staff (in each area of the program) and have much respect for the skills they have in engaging the children.

The environment is fun, play-based and encourages socialization and peer interaction while also focusing on each child's indidivual needs.  there is a great deal of communication between parents and staff that makes us feel involved and welcome.   We are thrilled with what is happening at the Center and are excited about what is to come as we continue on this journey.
